"Upon arrival, our room appeared beautiful but the bathroom had a chair in the middle of the room with a garbage can on it and another garbage can beside the chair. The bathroom walls had several large places with unfinished drywall mud on the paint. There were no towels. The floor and the sink were dirty. We had to wear our shoes during our stay. I advised the front desk. They apologized. The front desk clerk was a pudgy, bearded, middle age man with a flamboyant manner. When I reported about the condition of our room, he stated “ oh, that’s a new one I’ve never heard of”that one” before “. Insinuating I was not being truthful. I asked him to advise housekeeping and the manger. He said he would but we were not contacted by anyone. We were in room 621 on May 15, 2026. This was our first stay at this property. I was traveling with my adult special needs son, on our way to Vermont to see my mom who is on hospice. I stay at casinos when traveling because they usually have the best security and amenities. I was disappointed room service was not available. After ordering dinner to go, in the cafe, I went to order a drink to go at the bar. There were 3 staff members behind the bar. They were talking about personal matters for the length of a Bible. One had his back turned to several customers and didn’t acknowledge them at any time. Very disappointed in the presentation of the property and lack attentiveness of the staff."

"I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel’s customer service. I had an issue with my account, and the front desk kept avoiding responsibility, saying they couldn’t adjust the charge until another department reviewed the ticket. There is no direct customer service phone number — everything is handled through SMS and email, which made resolving the issue incredibly frustrating. Communication was slow and unhelpful. Honestly, this was the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had at a hotel."

"There was maintenance being performed on casino electrical system so the bars and all but one restaurant were closed for business 45 minutes wait to be seated for dinner Also Alder hotel charged additional 25 dollars per night to use casino, which was not explained when reservation were made "

"It’s outdated. New owners aren’t upgrading the facility, Evening entertainment is boring. The place was exciting when Doc was in charge of the activities. He kept it fun."

"Was only here for a night, but the front desk people and the general staff around in the morning were super friendly and helpful. This will definitely be my new go to when I’m traveling to the area, which is often. One critique is I wish they had nice big visible cameras on every angle of the exterior to monitor to the parking lot."
